From Hypnotic Sales Training to Influence With Integrity

Dave Hill formerly developed and taught a program known as Hypnotic Sales Training. That work explored attention, rapport, suggestion, communication and the psychology of persuasion. The training program is no longer offered, but it represents an important chapter in Dave's career and the development of his ideas about influence.

Today, Dave is writing a new book, Influence With Integrity, which takes those decades of experience in a new direction: how to communicate persuasively while respecting the other person's judgment, autonomy and right to make their own decisions.

Dave Hill's Earlier Work in Persuasion & Sales

Dave's earlier sales-training work examined how skilled communicators gain attention, establish rapport, present ideas in compelling ways and help people clearly understand the value of a product or service. His former training drew on his background in hypnosis, communication and sales psychology.

Some of the language used in the original Hypnotic Sales Training material reflected the hard-closing sales culture of its time. Dave's current work places greater emphasis on trust, transparency, ethical persuasion and influence without manipulation.

Dave's earlier book, The Ultimate Tactics of Persuasion: Hypnotic Techniques of Influence and Persuasion, documented ideas from this period of his work. It remains part of his published history and provides context for the evolution of the ideas he is now developing further.

Influence With Integrity – A New Direction

Influence With Integrity is currently being written. The new book will explore ethical influence through principles such as rapport, credibility, communication, trust and respect for the other person's freedom to choose.

The central idea is simple: persuasion does not have to depend on pressure, deception or manipulation. Lasting influence is stronger when people understand what is being presented, trust the person presenting it and remain free to make a decision that is right for them.
